DAGENS ORD!

God gives courage
Diary 838
I marvel at how many humiliations and sufferings that priest accepts. I see this at particular times, and I support them with my unworthy prayers. Only God can give one such courage; otherwise one would give up.

This Week: From Mary's Mantle to the Holy Trinity
Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church · May 25

This Week: Ordinary Time Begins
"God planned in the fullness of time to restore all things in Christ."
— Psalm Antiphon, Evening Prayer, Ordinary Time
We begin this first week of Ordinary Time on a morning that is anything but ordinary. Yesterday the Spirit fell on the Church at Pentecost. Today — the Monday after — the Church gathers under a mother's care: the memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.
This week moves gently but surely toward one of the great mysteries of faith. On Sunday, May 31, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each day this week, the Hours carry us a step closer to that summit. At Evening Prayer, the 3rd psalm antiphon already sets the direction: "God planned in the fullness of time to restore all things in Christ." Everything — the Incarnation, the Cross, Pentecost, the Church — is one plan, unfolding.

Surrender Prayer God, my Father, I thank You for all that You are and all that You do for me through Your son Jesus Christ. I praise You for my life, for Your mercy, and for Your Eucharist. In Jesus’ name, Father, I place myself entirely in Your Heart. I surrender to You my whole self, my heart, my mind, my memory, my imagination, my will, my emotions, my passions, my body, my desire for human approval, my weaknesses, my desires, my sins. I surrender every person in my life to You: my home,my children, my loved ones, I surrender every situation in my life to You. I surrender every relationship I am in to You. I surrender every concern I have to You. I surrender every fear I have to You. I surrender every doubt I have to You. I surrender all confusion I have to You. I surrender all sadness I am experiencing in my heart to You. I surrender all my wounds to you. I surrender all anxiety and worry I have to You. I surrender all that deceives me in my heart to You. I trust You to care for me and others in a perfectly loving way. As I have emptied myself and surrendered everything to You, I ask You now, Father, to fill me with Your Holy Spirit and all the gifts and fruits of Your Spirit. Holy Spirit You are the source of love, hope, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, tenderness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. Purify my desires. Help me to open my heart to You. Help me to become perfectly receptive as a pure child. Help me to believe in Your love for me. Help me to hope in Your love. Help me to receive from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus all grace and virtues necessary for me to become the person you created me to be. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your son, God Almighty Father. O Most Holy Immaculate Virgin Mary. I entrust this prayer to your Heart, and ask you to press it to your wounded heart and intercede for me to your Son Jesus. Please help me to be as you are, a perfect disciple, an obedient servant, a true child of God. Amen.
He carried the cross for us. His love never fails. He suffered so we could be saved. One cross. One Savior. Endless grace. He gave His life for humanity. Every scar tells a story of love. Jesus never gave up on us. The cross was the price of our salvation. He turned pain into purpose. Faith starts at the feet of Jesus. Do you love Him?? If yes drop Amen.DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS? I would bet 9 out of 10 Catholics have never heard his name. This man voluntarily walked into a Nazi concentration camp. He was not arrested. Not forced. Not captured. He chose to enter. When the Nazis questioned him, he answered: “I am a priest. I go where my people go.” For 3 years inside Dachau, Father Jean Bernard ministered to prisoners surrounded by death. He heard confessions in secret. He gave last rites to the dying. He buried the dead with his bare hands. The guards beat him for praying out loud. He never stopped. While millions know the names of dictators and murderers, almost nobody knows the priest who walked willingly into hell just to stay beside suffering souls. His name was Father Jean Bernard. And every Catholic school should know it. Drop

THE MOMENT A COMMUNIST TORTURER CONVERTED BECAUSE OF THE ROSARY. During the Romanian Communist persecution, priest Father Gheorghe Calciu Dumitreasa was imprisoned and tortured for years. His interrogator, a man trained to break priests, watched him pray the Rosary through every session. One night, the interrogator returned to his cell alone. He knelt down. “Teach me how to pray that.” He converted in secret. He helped Father Calciu survive. Our Lady doesn’t just protect those who pray to Her. She goes after the ones doing the persecuting. Is there someone in your life who seems unreachable? Drop their first name. I’ll add them to my Rosary today.
Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth 1. Towards the close of his life, St. Paul wrote to his well-loved disciple, St. Timothy: “As for me, I am already being poured out in sacrifice, and the time of my deliverance is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. For the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord, the just judge, will give to me in that day; yet not to me only, but also to those who love his coming.” (2 Tim. 4:6-8) After all his apostolic labours and difficulties, and after a lifetime of boundless love, St. Paul could confidently say that he would receive the crown which he had earned. When the Blessed Virgin came to the end of her earthly pilgrimage, during which she had lovingly worked and suffered so much for Jesus, she could have expected with even greater certainty to receive the crown of glory which she had merited. She was the noblest and holiest of creatures, because she was the Mother of the eternal Word of God made man. Therefore her reward had to be greater than that of any other creature. She was the Mother of the King of Angels and of Saints, of Heaven and of earth. As such, it was her place to rule over them all. Seated at the right hand of her divine Son, she has glory and power which none other could possess. The Church, therefore, invokes her under the title of Queen of Angels and of Saints, Queen of Apostles, Queen of Virgins, of Confessors and of Martyrs, Queen of Heaven and of earth. When our Holy Father, Pius XII, solemnly proclaimed her Queenship in the year 1954, he was only giving voice to the general consensus of tradition, of the Liturgy, and of the belief of all the faithful. (Cf. Encyclical “Ad Coeli Reginam,” 11th Oct., 1954) It should be very encouraging to all of us to know that we have so powerful a Queen in Heaven, whose privilege it is to dispense God's graces. She has crushed the poisonous head of Satan. Now she is able and eager to help us, her loyal sons and servants, to resist temptation, to frustrate the schemes of our deadly enemy, and to perfect ourselves in virtue. 2. Mary is a supremely powerful Queen, because she is the Mother of God. She is a most merciful Queen, because she is our Mother and the Mother of sinners. She is a most loving Queen, because hers is a kingdom of love and of goodness. Even as she is the most lovable of creatures, so she is the most loving. “To the immense love of God for his creatures,” writes Cardinal Massimi, “and to His command to rational beings that they should love Him with all their hearts, there has been only one worthy response. That response was yours, O Mary. You loved God with an intensity which surpassed the combined love of all other creatures. God created your heart, which was destined to be the heart of His Mother, after the fashion of His own. Adorned with every perfection, it had an immeasurable capacity for love... even as you are supreme in your love for God, O Mary, so you are supreme in your love for us... What a cause for gladness this is! God loves us, and you love us, O Mary. Our poor hearts which have a natural longing to be loved and suffer so much when they are disappointed, rejoice in being the object of your love. We thank you, O Mary, for favouring us in spite of your greatness and our unworthiness.” (Card. Massimi: Le Feste di Maria, p. 82-83) The realisation of Mary's regal power and of her maternal love for us should lead us to have complete confidence in her. This confidence should inspire us to pray fervently to her, to love her in return, and to form a practical resolution of imitating her. 3. O Queen of Angels and of Saints, my most powerful and most loving Mother, have pity on me, for I am surrounded by such great perils and need so much to advance in virtue. Although I am weak and weary, I desire ardently to imitate the shining example of your holiness. Obtain for me from your divine Son the grace to imitate you as far as I am able on earth, so that one day I may share your happiness in the presence of God for all eternity. Amen. (Antonio Cardinal Bacci)
OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE In 1531, a poor indigenous man named Juan Diego had a vision of a woman on a hill in Mexico. She spoke to him in his own language, Nahuatl. She asked that a church be built. The bishop did not believe him. Then she gave Juan Diego a sign: roses blooming in December, on a rocky hillside where nothing grew. He gathered them in his tilma, his cloak. When he opened it before the bishop, the roses fell. And on the fabric: her image. Perfectly preserved. It still exists today in the Basilica of Guadalupe. Scientists have examined it for decades. The image has no brushstrokes. The eyes contain reflections of the people present in 1531. The stars on her mantle match the exact constellation of December 12, 1531. Within 7 years after that apparition, 9 million Aztecs converted to Catholicism. Nine million. No missionary did that. No army. No campaign. A mother did. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for the Americas.
Heavenly Father, As we come to You in prayer this Wednesday morning, I want to pray for everyone who reads this. I ask that You would bless the reader abundantly and meet their every need. I pray that You would comfort those who in silence, are struggling mentally. Give them clarity of thought, wrap Your arms around them, and let them feel Your presence today. Heal those who are in need of an emotional or physical healing, fill them with hope and comfort them, as You give them peace. And I ask for Your financial, physical, and above all, spiritual blessings on the one reading this. May Your perfect will be done in all of our lives today, as the Holy Spirit leads the way. In Jesus name we pray, Amen...

Gospel of the Day (Mark 10,32-45) The disciples were on the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went ahead of them. They were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, he began to tell them what was going to happen to him. "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles who will mock him, spit upon him, scourge him, and put him to death, but after three days he will rise." Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you." He replied, "What do you wish (me) to do for you?" They answered him, "Grant that in your glory we may sit one at your right and the other at your left." Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?" They said to him, "We can." Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink, you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared." When the ten heard this, they became indignant at James and John. Jesus summoned them and said to them, "You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many." https://vaticannews.va/en/word-of-the
When life becomes overwhelming and messy, coming back to God is not about having all the answers or fixing yourself first; it is about surrendering the pieces you cannot manage to the only One who can restore them. Coming back to God after a period of backsliding is a journey defined by grace, not guilt. The Parable of the Prodigal Son serves as the ultimate reminder that God isn't waiting with a lecture; He's waiting with open arms to celebrate your return. One of the biggest obstacles is shame. Remember that 1 John 1:9 is a promise: He is "faithful and just to forgive us" if we ask. Refusing to forgive yourself can be like saying His sacrifice wasn't enough. Your return is a testament to God's character, not your perfection. He is "married to the backslider" and is eagerly waiting for you to take that first step home todayIf you’re seeing this, I prayed a rosary for you. If you need extra prayer, please drop a note below

THE SAINT WHO MULTIPLIED FOOD AND SCIENCE RECORDED IT. SHOCKING FACT: Saint John Bosco fed hundreds of boys from almost nothing repeatedly. Witnesses testified under oath. But this one is different. In 1860, he was carrying chestnuts to give to 400 boys. He had enough for perhaps 20. He reached into the bag and kept pulling. All 400 boys ate. The bag was still not empty. His confessor, a trained theologian, documented it. But here’s what no one talks about: Don Bosco wept afterward and went straight to the chapel. He didn’t celebrate. He knelt. Because he knew he hadn’t done it. The miracle wasn’t in the chestnuts. It was in the humility that made him a vessel. What’s the one thing stopping you from being a vessel?
