saftig morotskaka
Kan ni tänka er. Jag tänker dela med mig av ett heligt recept. Nämligen receptet på världens godaste morotskaka. Ja, enligt mig alltså. Den ska vara saftig, tung och kryddig men botten får inte vara för hög. Det får heller inte vara för mycket botten i förhållande till toppingen– som i sig ska var frisk, krämig och inte för sötsliskig. Den här fyller kriterierna!
Morotskaka är gott året om, på vintern för att den är härligt kryddig och julig, på våren för att man inte kan få nog av den, på sommaren för att den uppfriskande och på hösten för att den är uppiggande och tröstande
Grädda inte för länge och inte för varmt. Saftigt ska det bli! Den här formen känner säkert några igen (från IKEA), den är ca 24 x 18 cm och jag gräddade min kaka på 150 grader varmluft i 25 min, det blev perfekt i min ugn. I en rund springform, 24 cm i diameter får man ev lägga på 5 minuter.
Använd mjukt SMÖR till toppingen. Och jag lovar, det är mer än tillräckligt med topping!
Här kommer receptet!
Världens godaste morotskaka
4 dl finrivna morötter (ca 3-4 stycken) Det ska inte vara hårt packat.
1,5 dl neutral olja
2 ägg
1,5 dl farinsocker (det som är mjukt och fuktigt)
0,5 dl socker
1 krm äkta vaniljpulver el 1 tsk vaniljsocker
0,5 tsk salt
2 tsk kanel
1 tsk nystött kardemumma
2,5 dl vetemjöl
1 tsk bakpulver
Topping:
200 g mjukt smör
200 g (1 ask) Philadelphiaost el motsvarande färskost
2 dl siktat florsocker
1-3 kr äkta vaniljpulver el 1 msk vaniljsocker
Skal av 1 stor citron/apelsin eller 2 lime
Ev. Citronmeliss till garnering
Gör så här:
Sätt ugnen på 150-175 grader. Klä en 24 cm springform med bakplåtspapper i botten och smörj sidorna. Blanda de rivna morötterna med oljan. Vispa ihop ägg med farin, socker, vanilj, salt, kanel och kardemumma lite lätt, inte tjockt och pösigt. Blanda det med morotskletet. Blanda mjöl och bakpulver och sikta ner det i smeten, rör slätt och fyll formen. Grädda i 30-35 minuter, tills kakan släpper kanterna lite och en provsticka nästan är torr. Låt svalna under en bakduk el folie så att kakan föblir saftig. Låt svalna.
Vispa ingredienserna till toppingen fluffigt och bred över den svalnade kakan. Garnera ev. med citronmeliss.
Den här kakan håller sig fräsch upp till 4 -5 dagar i kylen (väl inplastad eller i plastlåda med lock) men går faktiskt att frysa in, med topping och allt om du absolut måste eller vill.

This is just a short post today because I feel like I received a warning. I was pondering the world, and how Maria Esperanza said of Venezuela, ”it will start here”. Knowing that Venezuela has been in the news of late I decided to pray.
I have told you that God has been relatively silent for awhile, but this day was different. I was praying a Rosary and I received a word in prayer. ”Pray it will not be winter.”
That was it. That was all that was said to me in my prayer. I recognized it from scripture.
The whole passage states;
So when you see the desolating sacrilege, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains; the one on the housetop must not go down to take things from the house; the one in the field must not turn back to get a coat. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For at that time there will be great suffering, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved, but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here is the Messiah!’ or ‘There he is!’—do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce great signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Take note, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever the corpse is, there the eagles will gather. Matthew 24:15-28
I don’t really know exactly what all this means, except I feel we must do as Jesus commanded in scripture. And I felt it important enough to tell you.
I am not an eschatologist, nor do I proport to know timelines of events. I only know what I heard in prayer and that it matches something in scripture that Jesus told us to do. So for me, I will pray that our flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath. Prayer changes things.

I pray that you and your family are well, Susan! I’ve been pondering this since you sent it out and I’ve always wondered about Maria Esperanza’s comment about ”it” starting there. Now with Venezuela strangely in the forefront now on several fronts it’s definitely worth watching. And your word about not happening in winter has always been on my mind…might chop some more wood today. God bless!

I appreciate reading all these comments. Thank you all. My Advent and Christmas period is like none other this year 2025. I pray and wonder if 2026 will be one like no other also… Let us be alert and share our catholic convictions,
PS: Just had a special 89th birthday , we were 12
with our Bishop and two priests who were sorry not being able to attend. I told the good friends: Why not have waiting for the 90th in 2026…. Response: None of us may no be around by then…. Ponder….

I forgot to make clear in my last post that the tribulation period before the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be from 2028 to 2031!!! Of course this is based on Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen’s Prophecy!!

Yes It very well could be a personal message however what if it isn’t? Let’s prepare. In fact Jesus tells us to stay awake! In other words always be prepared. Let’s not be naive or like the ostrich with its head in the sand. If we truly the times we were living in and recognize them for what they are we will live with joy but prepared.

Could be. Thanks for the insight, since I was praying about world events I didn’t think it was personal, but God does often work in layers. Since it is something that is in scripture that Christ asked us to pray I figured there was no harm in sharing it.

To understand the above revelation you must read: ”Bishop Fulton Sheen’s 2031 prophesy! The the time of peace and prospertity and the time of purification”!!! The time frame is from 2025 to 2031 sometime! So we are now looking at 3.5 years of peace and prosperity to be followed by 3.5 years of purification/tribulation. Then victory at the end of the tribulation period! This victory is the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary over Satan (Gen 3:15, Fatima). Read all you can via the internet! Everything can be found on YouTube! Just do some simple searches! The time of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will happen late in 2031 (maybe in August)? REMEMBER!!! 2031 marks the 500th anniversery of Our Lady of Guadulupe!!! This connection between Fatima and Guadulupe is very significant!!! Nevertheless, exact dates and times are not important. Readiness is essential/important. Do not be caught unawares!! Be awake. Be watchful. Sempre Fi!!

Attached is my input for the Couple Prayer and/or the Newsletter piece for next Sunday, the Third Sunday of Advent, and for the week following it. You are in my prayers as I prepare this. May God bless you and bring you closer to each other in love.
The importance of never giving up on Christ and his Church, and also on one another in marriage and family life, is the focus of the reflection for this Sunday and the week following it. There can be so much pressure around us and within us at times to lose heart or to lessen our efforts to believe and to love. Advent is very much a time to renew our faith and love because of the beautiful, simple, truth that is being revealed to us as we prepare for the birth of Christ and enter into a new year of following Christ in our homes and in our communities of faith.
As always, you will be in my prayers each day of the week ahead. Please pray for me and for all who will follow this programme of prayer and reflection in the next week. Thank you. May God bless you and all your loved ones with joy and happiness.

December 14th – 20th Joy in the Lord
“Happy is the one who does not lose faith in me.” Over the past few years many people have lost faith in Christ and in his Church. There have been very good reasons for this, particularly the sins of others that have shocked and rocked us all. However, this Christmas is another call to us to renew our faith in Christ, and our loyalty to his Church. We are brought again to the simple crib where God shows us the gentleness of his love. We can let go of the past in this simple place. We can let ourselves be healed from anger or bitterness by this Lord who is among us as a helpless baby. His only desire is that we would be people of compassion for one another and gentleness with one another. We practice this faith firstly in marriage and family life as we grow in love for each member of our family. And we practice it in our community where we can make such a difference in making sure that every person is cared for at this special time.

"Lycklig är den som inte mister tron på mig." Under de senaste åren har många människor förlorat tron på Kristus och på hans Kyrka. Det har funnits mycket goda skäl till detta, särskilt andras synder som har chockat och skakat oss alla. Men denna jul är ännu en kallelse till oss att förnya vår tro på Kristus och vår lojalitet mot hans Kyrka. Vi förs återigen till den enkla krubban där Gud visar oss sin ömhet och kärlek. Vi kan släppa det förflutna på denna enkla plats. Vi kan låta oss bli läkta från vrede eller bitterhet av denna Herre som är bland oss som ett hjälplöst spädbarn. Hans enda önskan är att vi ska vara människor med medkänsla för varandra och ömsesidig mildhet. Vi utövar denna tro först i äktenskap och familjeliv när vi växer i kärlek till varje medlem i vår familj. Och vi utövar den i vårt samhälle där vi kan göra en sådan skillnad genom att se till att varje människa blir omhändertagen vid denna speciella tid.

En man skrev under veckan: För tre veckor sedan rullade mitt 16-åriga barnbarn Rebecca av ett cementställ efter att ha tappat balansen. Båda fötter blev brutna. Hon fick flera frakturer på ryggraden och andra mindre skador på huvudet och ena handen. Hon har blivit opererad 4 gångar på tre olika sjukhus, Sahlgrenska, Östra, och Mölndal. Hennes hälsotillstånd är inte stabile än. Hon sitter i rullstol och lider fortfarande av smärta och obehag. Herre, du vet hur svårt den här situation är och vi överlämnar Rebecca och hela hennes familj till dig. Trösta dem Herre med din Helige Ande. Vi ber att sjukhuspersonalen som har med henne att göra bli ledd av Din Helige Ande. Vi ber att hon bli helad till kropp och själ. Vi är många som ber och må Rebecca och hela familjen känna sig burna av våra böner. Jesu Helige Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
Förbön behövs för ett par som har fyra barn och kommer att skilja sig. Herre, Vi överlämnar paret till dig, vi ber att du griper in och hjälper dem att förstå vad det här betyder.
